Lady GaGa will crash and burn

Lady GaGa will crash and burn
It's on! Lady GaGa vs Tori Amos
Music feud alert! Tori Amos has lashed out at Lady GaGa, saying pop's newest princess won't be around for long because audiences will get sick of her soon.

"She's what I call a meteor — singers who entertain people for a while," Tori told British rag The Sun. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with that. But then there are people like Neil Young who show up at Glastonbury 40 years into their career. And that's a very different kind of artist.

"The question is, will Lady GaGa be playing alongside Neil Young at Glastonbury in 20 years time?"

But Tori did have some nice words for GaGa (I think):

"She wants to entertain people," she said. "Right now, half the world is depressed and they need to be entertained. So her timing's perfect."

Before you go off to write nasty things to Tori on Twitter, keep in mind that The Sun is notorious for making things up. Just sayin'.

Who the heck is Tori Amos?
Lady GaGa might not be considered the world's most elegant woman and such but she has such a great style and great music. I like that she writes her own songs and that she is her own person.. That's what making her so successful. Theres nothing wrong with trying out something new.. The only reason why the tabloids are basically gushing over her is because they've never seen anyone like her before so really she's just a breath of fresh air. People should be more like her and not care what the rest of the world thinks.. maybe then all of us wouldn't be so superficial.. Who does Tori Amos think she is to critique anyway?? she hasn't really been in the lime light for years and she comes out of nowhere to judge someone WITH talent? and in turn she insults Neil Young by comparing him to an eccentric woman?? Excellent work Tori. Just keep showing the world how professional you are.
i hope she does crash and burn all her music is pathetic in my opinion
I agree Neil Young sounds good Glastonbury after a day of smoking green. Lady GAGA rocks.... who the hell is Tori Amos? Never heard of her untill today.
None the less she has a point. Lady Gaga produces hits but without classics she cant be a entertainer forever. She cant make classics by what I see. And her style bassically is very young out there. So when she ages you'll tell the part. Sure you can say people like madona have stayed in the books all this time but Madona was a pioneer of pop and produced so many classic tracks not that I listen to her. I believe she is a great entertainer but I cant see her lasting 10 years at the top in this industry Hey what would I know i'm just a hip hop fanatic
Why is everyone paying out Lady Gaga shouldn't you all be getting irritated with the record company that portrays her how they do? Everyone know's in the back of their mind that it's just a marketing gimmick...
ok I'm not going to lie, yes shes good for a dance in the clubs but, they've already started playing her less and less. Yes, shes pretty big at the moment.. key phrase "at the moment". Will she be remembered.. hell no because she is, lets face it, unoriginal. She sounds almost identical to all other female pop artists, and a good singer is one who doesnt need her voice synthesised. Its a slap in the face to everyone in the music industry to say she will always be around and that she has incredible talent. Listen to some Jeff Buckley and hear what a real artist sounds like. Everbody Here Wants You. Listen. Its goooood
Who cares how long someone is around at least GaGa is doing something she and others can enjoy, while earning money mind you.
Geez, you'd think it was a crime to release music these days. Lots of one hit wonders have provided us with the most memorable tracks. At 33 yo Lady Gaga is not my personal favourite, but her music is a hell of a lot better than Bratney's and she behaves herself too. Controversial lyrics have always shocked parents and grabbed kid's attention it's a winning formula for sales ie Elvis, Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols, Madonna, Prince... Raise kids with self worth and some sort of adult supervision into what they watch, hear etc. Personally, I'd rather my daughter listen to Gaga's music than have her eat McDonald's.
Bahahahahahahahahahahaha to all who commented. Including myself. I think we all need a life and need to stop explaing ourselves and addressing every comment view because its a f***ing article about ***!!! Its not about world hunger or innocent people dying so get over it.

Nick Jonas better without his bro's? Listen now! MusicFIX Blog by Jade Feb 9 2010 12:52PM There has been a Jo'Bro sized hole in the airwaves lately with Joe busy missing out on tv cameos and Kevin getting hitched. Luckily Nick went solo and we have the album ready for your listening pleasure.

We've been hearing about Nick's new band 'The Administration' for a while now and the album definitely delivers on the rumoured 'more adult' sound he was aiming for.

Working with members of Prince's old band the youngest brother has delivered a rock-pop disc sounding far older than his age would suggest.

So if you've ever wondered what one bro would sound like...

Beyonce stumbles and tumbles... MusicFIX Blog by Jade Feb 9 2010 9:37AM American Idol judges would have raved about Beyonce's performance after she managed to make an on-stage fall look like part of the show.

During her Brazilian concert last week, Beyonce's super-high stilettos got the better of her as she took a tumble mid-song.

Luckily for her and unluckily for the front row that could have got a piece of the star, she narrowly avoided falling off the stage and quickly regained her balance to continue belting out the song, 'Irreplaceable'.

This is the second fall of Beyonce's to become a YouTube sensation. The first was captured during a show three years ago in Orlando with the singer faceplanting down a flight of stairs.

Check out our gallery of the most embarrassing onstage blunders from the world's biggest stage stars. They'll never live down these babies!

Justin Timberlake - not such a sexy blonde... MusicFIX Blog by Jade Feb 8 2010 11:54AM Justin Timberlake looked a little too comfortable in the blonde wig he wore last week to accept his 'Hasty Pudding Man of the Year' award from Harvard University.

Organisers said Timberlake was a "triple threat". "He sings, he dances and he goes straight to DVD," they said. The annual award is given to entertainers who have "made a lasting contribution to the world of entertainment".

JT also endured a roasting of people from his past including spoof versions of Madonna, 'N Sync and a fat-suited, pigtail-wearing Britney Spears.

But the 'Sexyback' singer, accompanied by girlfriend Jessica Biel (so much for the bust-up rumours), said the silver pudding pot prize was "cooler than a Grammy or Emmy".

Taylor Swift is an effing superstar MusicFIX Blog by Sam Feb 8 2010 8:30AM Taylor Swift seems to have it all: Talent. Beauty. Hot guys. Grammy Awards. You'd hate her guts if she wasn't so darn awesome.

While Taylor can come across as a little milky — white, wholesome, kind of bland — she blitzed Sydney's Acer Arena on February 6, revealing a charming feistiness as she raced through tracks from her chart-topping album Fearless. Unlike a certain pop starlet who recently mimed her way around Australia, Taylor sang live, strummed at her guitar and plinked at her piano, proving she's worthy of her superstardom.

But the 20-year-old's true talent isn't just singing. It isn't even tossing her hair around, though she's really, really good at that. Taylor is best at working a crowd, and she had the kids eating out of her hand (which, for some reason, had a "13" inked on the back).

She endeared herself to the audience by playing up her multiple heartbreaks. (Boys are mean!) She unexpectedly popped up in the middle of the arena, wading through hordes of screaming fans. And she spent almost half of the two-hour show pulling her very best "Aww shucks, I'm so grateful!" expression in response to the crowd's wild cheering.

"I can't express how in love with you I am at this moment, Sydney," she breathed at the climax of one such moment (I bet she says that to all the cities), tears twinkling in her eyes.

There's no doubt that Taylor's living her dream — but she knows exactly what she's doing when she's up there on stage. Every move is carefully calculated to win over her audience.

But you know what? It works. Even her nemesis Kanye West would have to admit that she rocks.

Have you seen Taylor in concert? Give us your verdict in the concert!
