Whatta surprise, Snoop Dogg is angling for another slice of the pop culture pie, after the rapper who-does-too-much offered his services as the new American Idol judge.

After failing to land an appearance on True Blood, Tha' Doggfather, touted as a possible replacement for Simon Cowell admits he is happy to judge wannabes if they pay him enough.

"I like that show. I think it's missing some pizzazz and I can give it what it's missing - if they get their bread together, cut me in and cut me out. I got to get paid," the hip-hopper reportedly said.

But he may be too late, with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler frontrunner for the role.

There were the usual cameos from Usher and Sean Kingston, but the boy wonder surprised the crowd with appearances from Miley Cyrus, Ludacris and Boyz II Men.

The more-than-usual number of fame-hungry celebs was all due to the sold out New York gig being taped for Bieber's upcoming 3-D biopic, with the 'Baby' star promising "everyone in this audience is gonna be in my movie!"

Old skool R&B stars Boyz II Men helped him out on latest single 'U Smile' and Bieber returned the favour, singing their classic 'On Bended Knee', a megahit back 1994, the same year Bieber was born. But it was Miley Cyrus joining him for a rendition of 'Overboard' that sent the squeals of delight into the stratosphere.
